This is a fantastic event, and a good way to mix things up amongst static shows. Excerpt from Toyota’s event page below:
The Toyota Parallel Pomeroy Trophy is back! After a forced hiatus last year, Toyota GB and the Vintage Sports-Car Club (VSCC) are heading back to Silverstone circuit on Saturday 19 February 2022 and Toyotas of all types and eras are invited.
In short, the event’s mission is to find Britain’s best Toyota via a series of autotest-style driving tests, using a unique series of calculations to ensure all are judged equally. The only strict entry requirements are that all vehicles are road-legal and Toyotas!
It’s also a fantastic social event for Toyota enthusiasts and an opportunity to swap stories with like-minded owners. Plus, Toyota GB is bringing along some of its fleet including the new GR Yaris.
It costs just £35 to take part and proceeds will go to Toyota’s chosen charity, the Motor Neurone Disease Association. Entries can be made via this link: https://fal.cn/pomeroy.
Toyota have also mentioned to us that they’re wanting a spectator display of various models as well, so if you just want to visit and see the action rather than take part you can do that too. I’ve linked Toyota’s video from the last event in 2020 below. I took part in that one and it was a really excellent day, despite “Storm Dennis” doing it’s best to cause havoc.
